Event: 1st Womens Paragliding Open : Category 2 FAI Open Championship

The 1st Womens Paragliding Open will be held in the beautiful Àger valley in northern Spain during August 2010.

We are committed to support a worthy cause in the course of this event and have chosen the International charity ' Wings of Hope' as our partner. Wings of Hope is an organisation that provides free education to poor and orphaned children in developing countries. We believe a solid education is the best way out of poverty. The education we can provide will help these children break the cycle of dependency, and become providers for their communities.

We are working to expand this website to provide all the information you need as a competing pilot as well as provide interesting content for those following the event as well as our partners and sponsors.

Our mission is to conduct a fair and sportive competition amongst female pilots from all over the world.
We expect pilots of all levels, from those with cross-country flying or a small amount of competition experience through to top level international pilots to compete.
In co-operation with the very experienced local organisation team, we can ensure a high standard sportive event.
Not only will this be an exciting experience with only women racing amongst themselves for the very first time, but we will also provide briefings, debriefings and talks, in order to make this event a unique learning experience for all competitors.
